Up Next: Colne Valley Blues (H)

This weekend, Teddington may face 18 opponents, or none at all.

The first possibility is complacency. If Teddington believe they can easily beat any team, they could easily get beaten by any team. Colne Valley have won a couple this season, and Teddington have never been behind. How would they react if Sunday's visitors took the lead? The league leaders may find their most problematic opposition comes from within.

The second possibility, though, is perhaps more worrying. Three of Colne Valley's last four games have been unfulfilled walkovers for the opposition, due presumably to Colne not being able to raise a team. This would be a pity, partly for Teddington's weekend plans but also for girls' football: we need as many thriving teams as possible. It sure beats watching The Andrew Marr Show.

Preliminary indications are that Colne will come - they responded chirpily enough to the where-to-find-us communication - so the Teddington management have ploughed on with preparations against the team beaten 6-1 back in September.

Sadie Day and Amy Hallett are still away, and Millie MacEacharn is also absent - but she will be replaced between the sticks by returning goalkeeper Charlotte Ward. So again, the squad picks itself with nobody rested and two substitutes: Charlotte Ward, Ella Parkinson Mearns, Millie Theobald, Saskia Brewster, Ella V, Ruby Rudkin, Sophie Wallman, Emily Coulson, Sinead Morris, Phoebe Head and Ale Fairn.

It's a 10am kick-off so please meet on Bushy Park at 9.15am SHARP for the warm-up session. Please also note we need two kitchen volunteers (9.15-10.15am) and a lines(wo)man…
