Bondy's notes from Hampton

What we don't expect in defeat we don't expect in victory. Meaning a performance that leads to a defeat when you weren't at your best. You don't expect the same performance but win the game. I am all about performance; for me, performance is key to success. I will accept a winning performance with a loss, but not a performance that doesn't warrant a win. In saying that, it's three points on the board, and we look to build starting on Friday.

Hampton are a good team that work extremely hard for each other with quick wide players. They showed they can play with a good team goal that came from some good combination play, a very good ball in the box and a intelligent header.

They say all the best teams find a way to win; if you look at any side both in the women's and men's game or any team that has won a championship you will find they won games when they weren't at their best. We know Sunday's level of performance was a far contrast to the levels of tempo and quality we showed against AFC Wimbledon but we're not going to blame the pitch.

We can take positives from Sunday we had moments when we was at our best playing some good football. Both Doddsy and Liz stepped up and went in goal. It goes to show how important a job Ruby does for the team, and the importance of a goalkeeper's position.

Like every game once it's finished it's best to move to the next one. Win lose or draw, that game is in the past and we focus on the next game. I look forward to us bouncing back on Sunday.
